Carrie Anne James’ path has been shaped by a unique blend of cross-cultural creativity, philosophy and entrepreneurship.

She is the creator of French is Beautiful® and the author of The Paris Lessons.

Carrie Anne holds a Masters in Philosophy from the Sorbonne, specializing in Metaphysics and Phenomenology. She has undergraduate degrees from U.C. Berkeley (Music) and the Sorbonne (Philosophy).

A passionately eternal student, Carrie Anne’s studies have also included oil painting & mixed media in Paris, as well as poetic prose & theater in New York. She most recently presented her poem-pieces at Blaye en état d’art in France. A member of SAG-AFTRA, Carrie Anne has worked on multiple film projects as an artist, as well as a language consultant.

She moved to Paris in 2015 after calling New York, Los Angeles, Northern California and Michigan home, becoming a French citizen in 2022.
